Fine Bank Holiday weather drew the crowds for this year’s Haxby and Wigginton Scarecrow Festival, with record numbers attending and helping to raise funds, through the sale of trail maps and other activities, for a range of local and national charities.
Once again, the staff at our Haxby branch really entered into the spirit with a legal themed window display featuring ‘Judge Rinder’ and our most recent conveyancing awards. Special mention must go to Adele North for her creativity and resourcefulness!
The annual event is organised by Haxby and Wigginton Methodists, with funds raised supporting Christian Aid, the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital, Oaken Grove Community Centre and Wigginton Old School.
