As part of their commitment to supporting young talent in horse racing, Yorkshire-based solicitors Harrowells are delighted to announce that they are sponsoring leading apprentice jockey Georgia Cox ahead of the 2018 Flat season.
Cox, who has ridden over 50 winners in her career to date, is based with Derby-winning trainer William Haggas in Newmarket and started her life in racing when she was just 16.
Born and bred just outside of Newmarket, Cox had no family connection to racing but fell in love with horses at an early age and was determined to forge a career as a jockey.
Georgia is the third individual to benefit from our innovative apprentice jockey sponsorship programme - which began in 2016 with our support, in that year, of Adam McNamara.
Harrowells’ specialist horse racing team provides legal advice tailored to the needs of trainers, owners, breeders and bloodstock companies.
